Room in a shared flat

We are expected to move into our new 4.5-room apartment in Aarau Telli from mid-November to early December and are looking for a third person who would like to make a home together with us.

The room is available from 1 December, though a move-in might also be possible as early as mid-November.
We explicitly do not want a purely functional shared apartment (Zweck-WG); at the same time, of course, every person should have the freedom to withdraw and do their own thing.

The room & the apartment
Your room is approx. 16 m² and, as a small highlight, has its own east balcony, which is directly accessible from the room. So, in the morning, just open the door and go out.
The entire apartment is approx. 102 m², is located on the 2nd floor, and has two bathrooms as well as a large communal living area. Additionally, there is a west balcony at the living room with a beautiful view of the greenery (photo).

Since we are moving in ourselves, the communal rooms will be newly furnished by us. We would basically rent your room unfurnished, but if you would prefer a furnished room, we can also imagine furnishing it beforehand.

Rent: CHF 720.–
Additional costs (heating, water): CHF 100.– in advance (Akonto)
Monthly: CHF 820.–
Optionally, an underground parking space can be rented for CHF 100.–/month.

Vivien, 30
I am self-employed and also work part-time. Since I work a lot from home, you will probably encounter me more often during the week. In my free time, I like to go swimming or to yoga, I like painting and doing puzzles, playing board games, and I quite enjoy being in the kitchen. Cooking is fun, but baking is even more so.

Carsten, 33
Carsten is an architect and enjoys being out on his bicycle. Otherwise, he is uncomplicated, sociable, and also up for cooking together, eating, or a game night.

How we imagine WG life
We would like to live with someone whom you don't just see by chance on the way from the bedroom to the front door. Cooking and eating together sometimes, watching a film, having a game night, or spontaneously jumping into the Aare in the evening in summer.
It should be just as normal, however, if someone wants peace and quiet and withdraws. We all have our own lives and also need time for ourselves.

Every now and then, friends will be visiting us. Since some of them live abroad, it can also happen that someone stays overnight with us for a few days.

And who are we looking for?
Age and gender are not decisive for us. Also whether you study, work, or do something completely different is secondary, as long as the rent reliably ends up in our account. ;)

Much more important to us is that you are open, communicative, and tidy, and that you want a communal WG life.

We are a non-smoking household and would therefore prefer a non-smoking person as well. Smoking in the apartment is definitely excluded, and we would also prefer to keep the balconies smoke-free.

Bonus sympathy points are, of course, given if you like board games, drink tea, and prefer eating cake rather than turning it down.
