Living well in shared spaces We rent a large room in a shared accommodation: \- 40m2 with private bathroom on the ground floor, directly overlooking the garden \- 300m2 of common spaces (kitchen, living room, office, workshop, library, ...) \- large garden with fruit trees, parking spaces \- pretty village in the vineyards, 2km from Morges \- easily accessible by public transport We live in 2 neighboring houses: a renovated old press and a modern house with large glass spaces. The whole is designed from the start to offer a living space that is both private and communal. The 6 rooms (4 large ones at 40m2 and 2 small ones at 20m2) all have their own private bathroom and there are many common spaces, which facilitates exchanges or the possibility of withdrawing in peace. We are located in the center of the village of Chigny, with a magnificent view in all directions: Lake Geneva, Alps, Jura, Vufflens Castle. We are currently 5 adults between 33 and 69 years old (2 women and 3 men) as well as two part-time teenagers. We are quite different from each other in terms of our jobs, hobbies, nationalities, and philosophy of life. But for all of us, living together offers a better material living environment and a more pleasant and interesting daily life than individual housing. We share the household chores according to our abilities and preferences, eat together when we are there, and help each other out - all in a simple, trusting, and respectful manner.
